I use a traditional Italian, bulino technique.  Utilizing lines and dots on a micro scale, hand cut one at a time to create realistic images. This technique is one of the most time consuming and labor intensive of all the engraving arts, but certainly renders excellent results. 
 




 
All of the projects I work on are Hand Fabricated, Sculpted , Set and Hand Engraved from plate and wire stock. This is far superior to "Cast" pieces. The density and wear ability of work hardened components makes the life span and detail of the product incomparable.



 

Ornamental scroll engraving is usually used to compliment bulino scenes, Gems, or to decorate metal around the "focal" point of a project. Ornaments and full coverage scroll work can also be used on its own to enhance the beauty and shape of an object. The best designs and execution of ornaments should create a feeling of "movement" and "flow" with the appearance of being 3D.
